Style x Customs | Legacy Overland Reveals Defender 90 V8 Town & Country

The Land Rover Defender is an icon, an off-road legend, and a ride that has become quite popular for customizers. While we’ve seen plenty of beautiful Land Rover Defender’s throughout the years, no one produces custom Defender’s quite like Legacy Overland. Today Legacy Overland is back, heading back to the basics. The ride is a study in assembling fundamental elements that work perfectly together. This beautiful machine is a 1988 Defender 90, powered by a 3.5L V8 and five-speed manual gearbox. Eye-catching and stunning, the full frame-off restoration pulls together the classic British Racing Green paint scheme with a handcrafted gray mohair soft top and handcrafted camel-colored interior.

This beautiful custom ride is as stunning inside as it is outside. The build underwent thousands of man-hours of painstaking and meticulous restoration to reach its new pristine condition. Sourced from Switzerland, the ride features tasteful upgrades throughout, including a new manifold and single Weber carb, LED round lamps front and rear, NAS rear bumper step, and much more. The center console boasts a double-DIN Apple Carplay enabled media receiver and premium sound. Other modern aspects include power windows, air conditioning, quad-LED lamp front bumper, custom made white-face Legacy Overland gauges, and so much more.

The interior of the build was designed in consultation with the client, using camel vegan leather with black piping detail. The dashboard, front seats, cubby box, doors, and the jump seats were all dressed up and the floor protected by Land Rover rubber mats. The soft top is Legacy Overland’s own design, handmade, especially for the built. Other highlights include a completely rebuilt 3.5L V8, an upgraded intake manifold, and single performance Weber carburetor. The rebuilt 5-speed manual gearbox and transfer case offers a smooth driving experience, while a bevy of updates throughout makes for a stunning machine. All-metal brackets, bolts, fasteners, and more have been galvanized, while the British Racing Green paint job adds to the aesthetic. The ride sits on BFGoodrich All/Terrain 265/75×16 tires, while updated disc brakes on the front and rear drum brakes provide ample stopping power.

This bad boy is luxurious, clean, and unique, offering one of the most remarkable custom Defender’s we’ve ever laid eyes on. Take a closer look at this beautiful Land Rover in the images below and find out more from Legacy Overland immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more custom vehicles coming very soon.
