The Future Is Now | Highsnobiety x Gestalten Release ‘The New Luxury’

When it comes to modern fashion, streetwear, style, and so much more, many of us take to the interwebs to find the info we need. Highsnobiety has made their name in this space, inspiring, influencing, and elevating along the way. Recently they partnered with the international publishing house gestalten for a new book called “The New Luxury – Defining the Aspirational in the Age of Hype”. The book includes a look at some of the figures in our world, reshaping the very definition of “luxury.”

In a world where new Nike’s can be as sought after as straight-from-the-runway collections, things have changed. The book asks several of today’s designers, creators, and stylists about the one item that piqued their appreciation. Five of The New Luxury’s most creative figures provide a look into their first luxury piece. As well as how the item served as an essential moment that shaped the future. The book comes loaded with full interviews and more. With a closer look at the likes of Hiroshi Fujiwara, Aleali May, Daniel Arsham, YOON, and Ronnie Fieg. The New Luxury provides the foundational knowledge for brands, consumers, and curious minds to learn about the changing face of the luxury market. The book is a story of how culture and commodity intertwined, redefining consumer values.

It also includes interviews with industry leaders, case studies of brands of the new luxury era, and more.
