After just a month, the 1986-87 Fleer Michael Jordan rookie card has a new record price. Two cards appeared on the market this weekend, both boasting a Gem Mint PSA 10 grading. The cards sold for $738,000 USD each at Goldin Auctions. The record-setting prices showcase the surge that is notable with these particular Michael Jordan cards. The card has increased more than $500K USD in less than a month.
A recent PSA 10 Jordan rookie card sold for $217,000 USD on January 3rd, and another sold for $211,560 USD in December. Wildly, the same 1986-87 Fleer Jordan rookie card was worth around $32,000 USD in December of 2019. Only 316 cards have received a Gem Mint 10 grading, out of more than 18,000 Jordan rookie cards submitted.
