For those of you familiar with the sounds of Tuxedo, you need no introduction. If you haven’t been formally introduced, you have been missing out on some great music. When it comes to smooth, groovy vibrations, no one does it quite like the duo known as Tuxedo. With a brand new project on the horizon, one I’m personally hyped about, Mayer Hawthorne and Jake One are back. This time around the duo invade our ears with a funky ass new single, fittingly titled “Vibrations.”
This is the third single the pair have released from ‘Tuxedo III,’ which is slated to arrive on July 19th. “Vibrations” is pushed by this grooving, irresistible bass line which is paired up with funk-inspired guitar work and some smooth synths. Mayer and Jake again showcase their respective talents, Mayer on the mic, Jake behind the boards, combining their skills with the vocal prowess of Seattle R&B-pop singer Parisalexa. The trio creates something catchy, as expected, giving us another reason to be a fan. The Parisalexa-assisted “Vibrations” follows Tuxedo’s previous singles “The Tuxedo Way” and “Toast 2 Us,” both of which should be in your listening rotation.
