Updated x Upgraded | Canon Unveils The EOS M200 Camera

The good folks over at Canon are back, and they return with some major updates. Canon has updated its incredibly popular EOS M100, releasing the 4K video-equipped M200. This new pocket-sized camera offers a host of tech advancements, including eye-detection autofocus, an updated Digic 8 processor and selectable AF points. The entry-level camera comes with a 24.1-megapixel sensor and a selfie-friendly flip-up screen.

Video is compressed to a 1.6 times APS-C crop, meaning the 15-45mm kit lens will begin to perform as a 38-115mm lens upon recording in 4K mode. This reduces the quality and functionality of its vlogging capabilities. The M200 is pitched at beginners, boasting a range of new features and details in the process. The camera features all-new eye-detection; it can shoot vertical video and opts for fewer buttons. The focus is all on the touchscreen control, boasting a sleek and forward-thinking approach. The Canon EOS M200 will be available in October, arriving in black or white. Canon stays on their grind to serve up quality cameras and more, and the M200 is the latest extension of that.
