Updates & Upgrades! Ricoh Unveils Special Edition GR IIIx Urban Edition Camera

The creative minds over at Ricoh are back at it. Today the brand returns to introduce its latest special edition GR IIIx Urban Edition compact camera. The design comes equipped with a 26.1mm (40mm equivalent) lens and an array of features that were designed for street photographers. The camera includes a 24-megapixel APS-C sensor with three-axis image stabilization, providing functionality in a minimal design.

The entire casing is finished in metallic gray, offering a sleek and understated aesthetic. The surface appears smooth, though it has plenty of tactical grip. The deep navy blue cap ring adds a dose of color and style, contrasting the rest of the camera and matching it with the blue ring on the leather strap.

The camera will also feature a series of new updates that will come via firmware updates. These updates include a Snap Distance Priority mode, an Auto Area AF (Center) focus mode, the ability to enable AF mode shutter-release, and Snapshot mode with an additional 11.5-feet distance setting.

Check out the GR IIIx Urban Edition and find out more from Ricoh right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more from the tech sector coming very soon.
