If you haven’t gotten familiar with YBN Cordae, now would be a perfect time to do so. The wordsmith is gearing up to drop off his highly anticipated project, ‘The Lost Boy’ arrives this coming Friday, but before it does YBN Cordae is back with something new. Today the wordsmith returns with one of the smoothest tracks you will hear this week called “RNP.”
The track finds YBN Cordae linking up with Anderson .Paak for something incredibly contagious, produced by none other than J. Cole. The track finds Cordae and Anderson trading their respective talents over top of this bouncy, soulful sounding instrumental. The single is pushed by these incredibly fresh, punchy bass drums that include this bouncy percussion section. The energetic drums are paired with these stabbing melodic elements that add to the bounce of the track, supplying Cordae and Anderson to do their thing. They both cook up a contagious dose of their respective abilities, cooking up one of our favorite tracks for Summer so far.
