20 Years In The Making | St. Andrews Beach Villa

We are truly inspired by modern architecture around these parts. A prime example as to why it is known as the St. Andrews Beach Villa. This beautiful dwelling is situated along the sandy shores of the Mornington Peninsula. The villa took nearly twenty years to complete, as the first phase began back in 1999. What started as a modest seaside shack has evolved into something beautiful and unique.

After the recent completion of the third stage, the dwelling now features five bedrooms, a glasshouse, a lap pool, and cabana. The home features a contemporary aesthetic that also boasts an evolution of materials. Details include wooden screens and metal cladding that have developed a weathered finish. This means the home has become a part of the natural landscape.

The interior of the structure balances things out, doing so with a mixture of contemporary finishes. These accents play well with the palette rusty metal linings and reclaimed timber seen outside. The villa includes south-facing glazing, which provides expansive coastal views. This structure is beautiful, certainly worth the wait.
