The long-awaited return of Chance The Rapper is finally over. This past Friday, Chance invaded the interwebs with his official debut album, ‘The Big Day.’ Yes, you read that right, his official debut album. ‘The Big Day’ arrives after his breakout project, Acid Rap and his Grammy-winning project Coloring Book.
Chance delivers a solid collection of new material for our listening enjoyment, serving up an array of impressive new tracks. The album, The Big Day’ comes loaded up with twenty-two new tracks, including a variety of guest, features int he process. Along the way, Chano from 79th pairs his lyrical talents with those of John Legend, Nicki Minaj, DaBaby, Megan Thee Stallion, Smino, SWV, Ari Lennox, and more. The album is littered with impressive, contagious new material.
Standouts include “All Day” with John Legend, “Hot Show” featuring MadeinTYO & DaBaby, “Let’s Go on the Run,” “Big Fish” featuring Gucci Mane,” and “Town on the Hill.” Chance provides a solid showcase of his depth, his range, and his lyrical talents. He also takes the opportunity to speak about a handful of important topics, effortlessly showing off his range and undeniable ability along the way.
This is certainly one album this week that we wouldn’t suggest sleeping on.
