Fit For The Future | 2022 FIFA World Cup Floating Hotels

In 2022 the FIFA World Cup will head to Qatar. Ahead of the impending games, the good folks over at Admares have offered a look at their floating hotels. The structures serve as a response to Qatar’s need to accommodate the influx of fans coming to the country. The Finnish company provided a concept of floating hotels, a series of floating, comfortable hotels that are useful and sustainable.

The sixteen structures sit on the surface of the Persian Gulf off the coast of Qetaifan Island North. This is about 15 minutes from the Lusail Iconic Stadium. The hotels measure in at 236-feet-long and 52-feet-wide. Each of the four-story structures will house 101 guest rooms along with a restaurant and lounge bar. Once the World Cup is over, these hotels can then be moved to another coastal location or even used again for future events. This is not only a look into functional design, but perhaps into the future of architecture and design.

Take a look at the FIFA World Cup Floating Hotels in the images below and find out more about the structures from Admares right now. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture coming very soon.
