For The Win! Louis Vuitton Reveals 2021 Monaco Grand Prix Trophy Travel Case

Following the release of the basketball-themed capsule collection with the NBA, Louis Vuitton is back. This time around, the fashion house returns with a new multi-year collaborator, partnering with Automobile Club de Monaco, the company behind the racing event, the Monaco Grand Prix. To kick off the collaboration, LV has revealed a Riviera-inspired trophy travel case.

The design was crafted in the label’s Asnières studio just outside of Paris, honoring the Grand Prix’s 78th year with style. The case features a monogram canvas in the red shade of the Monaco flag, which is adorned with an enlarged letter V in red and white stripes. The trophy itself portrays an outline of the track and will be given to the race’s winner on May 23rd.

Louis Vuitton Chairman and CEO Michael Burke stated: “At almost 300 kilometers per hour (186 mph) between the rails, it’s the Formula 1 Grand Prix that all drivers aspire to win one day.” He went on to add, “Today, we are proud to be associated with the race and to together start writing a piece of history. The trophy trunk epitomizes ‘Victory travels in Louis Vuitton’ — witnessing the next victories and continuing to carry legends.” Last year’s Monaco Grand Prix was canceled, which makes this year even more special. The event’s organizers have set the capacity to 7,500 ticketholders per day.
