Jin Jeong Opens “Grounded”

The abstract artist known as Jin Jeong is back in the news feed. Known for fluid shapes inspired by the human body, the artist recently unveiled a new solo exhibition at Half Gallery titled “Grounded.” The new exhibition includes Jeong’s vibrant compositions that are described as “emotional landscapes.” Each of the works has an abstract allure, though taking on a figurative undertone. Jeong released a statement about the exhibition and the work on display.

The artist stated: “I know my paintings seem to talk about beauty or harmony, but I hope that doesn’t read as the main content of my works to the audience. Yes, I may utilize the objectivity of beauty as a visual element, and the painting may be embedded in my preference for harmonized imagery, simply as I would feel in nature.” The colorful and eye-catching new exhibition, “Grounded,” is on display at Half Gallery in New York City until June 15.

Take a look at a few select images from the exhibit and head over to Half Gallery to find out more. Plan your visit and keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art news, exhibitions, and art releases coming very soon.
