LEGO Reveals Life-Sized James Bond Aston Martin DB5

The creative minds over at LEGO are back in the news feed. LEGO has joined forces with the 007 franchise this time to honor LEGO’s 90th anniversary and James Bond‘s 60th anniversary. The toy company has created life-sized replicas of James Bond as a mini-figure, Blofield’s cat, and the iconic 007 Aston Martin DB5. The replicas are located in the toy company’s newly-refurbished flagship store in London’s Leicester Square.

The star of the show is the 1,037 kilogram DB5 model. The life-sized vehicle was made from 357,954 bricks and took nearly 57 days to build. Features include a rotating license plate, functional headlights, a light-up dashboard, and an authentic steering wheel. A smaller 298-piece James Bond 007 Aston Martin DB5 Speed Champions model will also be offered in-stores and online, commemorating the iconic vehicle.

With nearly 1,400 hours worth of work and almost 400,000 LEGO bricks, this replica is like nothing else we’ve seen. Take a closer look at this intricate and eye-catching display in the video below, and head over to LEGO to find out more. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more art, design, and automotive news coming very soon.
