The two legends, Murs and 9th Wonder, are back. The fellas are linking up for their sixth album, The Iliad Is Dead, and the Odyssey is Over, which was intended to drop this past Friday.
The project has been pushed back to August 9th, though the duo did unleash a brand new single called “High Noon.” The track is the latest from their highly awaited new project, produced by ’s 15-year-old daughter, JDeafBeats. Murs and 9th Wonder are joined by Rapsody, who trades her lyrical prowess with that of Murs. The duo is then joined by JAMLA’s Reuben Vincent, who holds down the hook.
9th Wonder recently spoke about the single with Complex, stating: “It’s amazing what my baby can do.” He added, “What she has been able to accomplish while only making beats for two-years, born with a profound hearing loss. I guess she is just born with the gift to feel.” Rapsody also opened up about the single and working with Murs. She said, “Making ‘High Noon’ was one of the funniest times I’ve had working with another artist.” Rapsody added, “It started as a Patagucci joke, and turned into a jam where Murs and I got to flex and have fun at the same time. I haven’t gone back and forth on verses in a while. It was dope to create in that way again–just spitting.” While we await the duo’s sixth album,
