After the departure of ‘Game of Thrones,’ HBO is certainly looking to fill a void. With a slew of new series’ and more on the horizon and today, we get a look at one of their most anticipating coming releases. The new fantasy series ‘His Dark Materials’ was first teased back in May, though HBO has returned to share the first full-length trailer for the program.
‘His Dark Materials’ is based on Philip Pullman’s award-winning trilogy of the same name. The upcoming series stars Dafne Keen as Lyra, an ordinary young woman from another world. She’s searching for her kidnapped friend, stumbling upon an organization responsible for the disappearance of children.
Her intense journey takes her through multiple worlds, including our own before being joined by a courageous boy named Will. The two take on a journey to uncover a dangerous secret and extraordinary beings along the way. James McAvoy, Ruth Wilson, and Lin-Manuel Miranda also star in His Dark Materials, which is slated to arrive this Fall.
