The automotive industry is changing and quickly. More and more manufacturers are planning for all-electric lineups, which means the days of the gasoline engine seem numbered. However, that doesn’t mean that the classics we know and love are going to disappear. Today we get a look at a classic ride with a modern approach. A brilliantly designed concept truck known as the E-10. Chevy’s E-10 concept truck takes a 1962 C-10 pickup and packs it with a 450 horsepower electric drivetrain. Matching that modern power with a modern restoration.
The ride is powered by Chevrolet’s Bolt EV electronics and battery packs, boasting two off-the-shelf performance motors make the power. The motors provide power to the rear wheels through a conventional automatic transmission. The batteries come mounted in the bed under a side-hinged hardcover.
The updated looks are as fresh as the interior, offering a stunning, clean, and contemporary vibe all the way around. The ride boasts a handful of unique features as well, including a light-up bowtie emblem and LED lights. While this E-10 won’t ever enter production, it provides a look at the possibilities for those vintage automobiles that we first fell in love with.
