Own An Island | Isla Imelev

If you’re ready to go all-in for social distancing, we’ve found the place for you. For a not completely insane $1.7mil, Isla Imelev is up for sale and in need of an occupant. Thirty-two acres of sweet seclusion await on the triangular island off the coast of Chile. So far, the only structure is the lighthouse owned and used by the maritime army as a reference point for oceanic navigators. Lush prairies blooming with native flora and fauna could become your island nation for isolation.

The Northeastern part of the island has a rising cliff with an 80ft peak, providing the most unencumbered ocean view one could ever ask for. Water resources on the island have been autonomously supporting grazing animals, so freshwater isn’t an issue. While it may seem a bit too remote, transportation isn’t totally unreasonable. The closest airport is in the city of Castro in the Los Lagos district. One could be in Santiago within a couple of hours.

If there were ever a more appealing time to relocate to an island all your own, you probably would’ve had to claim it in the name of a king or something instead of just signing the check. If this isn’t the island, you had in mind, check out privateislandsonline.com for a more extensive list of extreme social distancing solutions.
