Prefab Brilliance | The Clinton Corners House

In case you didn’t know by now, we have quite the soft spot for an eye-catching design. Old, new, and everything in between; we find unique architecture inspiring. Today we get a look at a beautiful home overlooking Lake Upton in the Hudson Valley. The Clinton Corners House is a bespoke retreat which is based on Lake|Flato’s Porch House. The dwelling is a prefab design, making use of prefabricated timber framing and super-insulated panels.

The home exudes an old charm that is undeniable, but its modern features add a nice sense of comfort. This simple but functional design can be built to entirety in just eight months. The three gabled volumes are clad in western red cedar, while a metal roof resembles a traditional barn.

The interior is divided between family, guests, and entertaining, offering ample space in the process. The rustic, minimal interior features exposed white oak beams, vaulted ceilings, and concrete floors. A wall of glazing opens the interior up, also providing views of the incredible scenery beyond. From here, guests can enjoy lake views, while a series of porches will immerse you in the natural surroundings. This beautiful structure is clean and contemporary, boasting outstanding attention to detail throughout.
