Pristine Luxury | The Hass House

Home is where the heart is, and today we take a look at a home with a lot of heart. The Hass House is located on a 45-acre farm in upstate New York. This stunning structure is situated in a way to respond to the pastoral landscape. The dwelling does so with an agrarian design, contrasting the area in which it sits. The home was designed by Feuerstein Quagliara, pulling inspiration from the architecture of the area. The house boasts a simple, gabled design which is clad in blackened rough-cut pine.

The barn-inspired form runs linear across the land, offering a minimal, modern retreat in the process. The interior contrasts the dark exterior with concrete floors and white walls. The Baltic birch plywood millwork adds to the light, airy atmosphere throughout. The continuous layout is divided by function. There are six living spaces, while walls of glazing provide views from the communal spaces of the home. There is also access to the outdoors as translucent panels slide open to a series of sheltered terraces. This home is thoughtful and eye-catching, sleek, and stylish.

Take a closer look at the Hass House in the images below and find out more about the dwelling from Feuerstein Quagliara. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture and contemporary design coming very soon.
