Rural Luxury | The Broadmoor House

Modern architecture comes in an array of sizes, shapes, and unique forms. Today we get a look inside at a luxurious mid-century modern design from David Coleman Architecture. The Broadmoor House seamlessly marries its indoor spaces with the outdoors. The result is quite impressive, and the transitions are seamless. The home was initially built in 1956, boasting a one-story structure. These days the house is host to new additions and renovations, adding flawlessly to its half-acre plot in Seattle, Washington.

The new additions aim to deepen the relationship with nature, offering an open and airy aesthetic. The new footprint wraps its internal living spaces around an exterior courtyard. This is accessible through oversized lift-slide doors and expansive windows. The glazing provides views of the rear meadow while expanding the interior rooms outdoors. The far side of the home is host to the master suite, which features its own access to the pasture.
