Rural Luxury | The Denison Rivulet By Taylor + Hinds

The east coast of Tasmania offers one of the most serene expanses that the world has to offer. While not an area we’d typically expect to see unique modern architecture, today that is exactly what we get a look at. Dubbed, the Denison Rivulet, this beautiful structure was designed and constructed by Taylor + Hinds. The Australian architects created a series of minimalistic cabins that are as noninvasive as possible. The cabins detail the area’s seasonal inhibitions, offering an elaborate interior design with a welcoming allure.

The Denison Rivulet was built to create a “memorable and marvelous experience, heightened by the sense of interiority — of actually being in the landscape. ” The exterior of the dwellings are rather simple, enhancing the surrounding area with unique characteristics. They contrast the barren landscape while offering a unique place to enjoy the environment. Tall, dark timber adorns the outside of the cabin, which results in a dominative presence. The interior boasts a complex design from its material to the layout. The home features wood slatted walkways and ceilings, while a modular kitchen area offers a functional appeal. Other details such as the copper tub and subtle light fixtures add to the charm, providing a unique identity throughout.

The structures offer an immersive experience in a rather unique location. Take a look at these beautiful dwellings in the images below and find out more about the cabins from Taylor + Hinds immediately. Stay tuned right here with us at The Culture Curators for more modern, luxurious architecture coming soon.
