We have quite an affinity for outstanding modern architecture. We’ve seen exceptional examples from all over the planet, and today we take a look at a stunning structure in the Yucca Valley. The Black Desert House is located on ao rocky outcropping, designed as a shadow cast on the barren terrain. The dwelling has a cave-like appeal that is situated on a flattened plot, replacing a mountain that was graded in the 1960s. The dwelling sits partially tucked into the hillside with a dark facade that offers refuge from the harsh climate. The dark exterior opens to an interior that wraps around an entry courtyard.
The space features a living room, kitchen, dining room, and bedrooms. The main living spaces are oriented around the aforementioned courtyard, while an expansive terrace offers unrivaled views of the natural surroundings. The interior contrasts the exterior flawlessly while offering plenty of space for relaxing and enjoying the surrounding area. While the exterior contrasts its surroundings, it seamlessly blends into the backdrop at night, offering a great platform for stargazing.
