Style Sculptures | Taku Obata & Galerie Bomma Unveil A Limited ‘B-Boy’ Porcelain Figure

Japanese artist Taku Obata recently unveiled some stunning original wooden sculptures at the artKYOTO fair. Now the artist is back, revealing a collaborative new sculptural figure with Paris-based Galerie Bomma. This eye-catching all-white with Paris-based Galerie Bomma of Obata’s ‘B-Boy’ character. The sculpture finds the character in a squatting position, posturing for his next move.

The piece boasts bold details and a clean design, while created using traditional ceramic techniques. The artist alongside the gallery developed the series in Limoges, which offer a modern meets classic aesthetic. The figure stands 17-centimeters tall, rocking a detailed design that is sure to look great in any home or office. The porcelain figure is slated to release in an edition of 30 with 10 artist proofs.
