The good folks over at Mulch have joined forces with professional tennis phenom Reilly Opelka in the fight against COVID-19. The two have teamed up to donate 500 masks to the city of Palm Coast. Reilly, a Palm Coast resident, wanted to thank and support the local community and its essential workers. He and Mulch do so creatively, offering a useful way to stay safe in these unprecedented times. Reilly Opelka spoke about the partnership and his reasoning.
He stated: “For me, it’s just a small way to thank the essential workers and medical staff that have been keeping Palm Coast up and running during these difficult times.” He went on to add, “Palm Coast has always been extremely supportive of me, and so has MULCH. It was the perfect opportunity to support one another and give back to the community and the City of Palm Coast.”
Phil Zariff, co-founder of MULCH, also opened up. He stated: “As soon as Reilly reached out, we were on board. He helped us reach people in Florida that otherwise we could never, and it was imperative to collaborate and support his local community during these difficult times.” Mr. Zariff went on to say, “We agreed upon creating and donating ‘better than nothing’ masks to the city of Palm Coast with essential workers’ safety top of mind. We were able to create 500 masks in a 72-hour time span, and they have been donated to the city of Palm Coast to be shared amongst essential businesses and its workers in the community.”
