It’s been a minute, but The Weeknd is back. The last we heard from The Weeknd, he was dropping off his previous contagious album while leaving us wanting more. The singer/songwriter is back with a brand new single entitled “Heartless.” The track finds Abel again, showing his range and falsetto, doing so over top of a synth-driven backdrop. “Heartless” finds the artist speaking in raunchy terms about his lifestyle, doing so over top of production from Metro Boomin.
The result is something special and something that is sure to e a popular one immediately. The track’s synth melodies are seamlessly paired with some energetic, punchy drum work. The combination makes a nice home for the artist to do his thing, and he definitely doesn’t disappoint. He takes to the silky backdrop and puts together an impressive display of his vocal prowess and smooth abilities behind the emic. The backdrop provides the crooner with something special to excel upon, and he certainly doesn’t let us down in the process.
