The good folks over at Toyota are taking the iconic Land Cruiser into the future. Today the automaker returns with a first look at the all-new 2022 Toyota Land Cruiser. The vehicle comes with a new platform, styling, and two twin-turbo V6 engine options. Dubbed the LC300, the new Land Cruiser sits on the modular GA-F platform. This results in 440 pounds less weight, a lower center of gravity, better weight distribution, and improved off-road capability.
Power comes from either a 409 horsepower 3.5-liter V6 and diesel 3.3-liter making 304 horsepower. The redesigned SUV features a sleek new hood, a massive grille, and new headlights that fit with Toyota’s current design language. The off-road-oriented GR version of the Land Cruiser will boast locking differentials, less chrome, and a more utilitarian interior. However, the only bad news is that the 2022 Land Cruiser will not be hitting the North American market.
