A Modern Rec. Center | Cultureplex Manchester

Rec centers are so 1980’s. Housed in a former railway warehouse in Manchester is a unique concept known as Cultureplex Manchester. This unique complex reimagines the idea of a community center for our modern times. The cultural complex comes located within Manchester’s Northern Quarter. The goal is to draw residents in with its upscale amenities and revolving events.

The Cultureplex features an 80-seat eatery which is head by local restaurant Bistrotheque. There is also a lounge that features a coffee counter serving lighter fare and cocktails. The city’s libraries inspired the communal space. Here visitors are surrounded by the building’s industrial cell with warm woods and mid-century modern style furnishings. The hub also boasts a mini cinema playing vintage and current flicks, offering an array of entertainment in the process. The complex even includes three event spaces for private gatherings, as well as a venue for music and art.

The Cultureplex Manchester revamps the old rec center, offering a space for the modern community. Take a closer look at Cultureplex Manchester in the images below and learn more about the space right here, right now.
