A Sustainable Future | A Look At Studio Vural’s ‘Dune House’

The future of architecture looks to self-sustainable structures. We’ve seen features implemented in a number of dwellings and buildings already. Today we take a look at a unique, innovative concept that could provide a real glimpse into the future. The ‘Dune House,’ as it is known, is a hyper-sustainable home. The structure was inspired by the squid, offering interesting design elements and attention to detail in the process. The home is entirely self-powered.

The split structure is blanketed in sand, which provides a grain-like insulation. The home’s internal temperature can be regulated through the geothermal temperatures of the surrounding land. This feature, along with a collection of solar panels and miniature wind turbines to produce entirely clean energy. The interior is host to massive, length-running windows that provide views of the home’s central area. This area also allows all the modern details to be displayed and utilized. If this is a look into the future, it’s looking rather eye-catching and resourceful.

Take a closer look at the ‘Dune House’ in the images below and learn more from Studio Vural while you’re at it. In the meantime, be sure to keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture and design coming very soon.
