A Trip Back In Time | ‘KIDS’ Is Now Available To Stream In Full

It’s crazy to think it has been 25 years since the controversial release of Larry Clark’s coming of age classic ‘KIDS’. To commemorate, SUPREME has uploaded the film to their website to watch free of charge.

The film follows a group of young New York City Skaters as they take in everything that was the NYC youth culture of the ’90s, with no shortage of hedonism and debauchery. The all too real depiction drew fire from the Karens of the day for its raw outlook on life in the city.

If SUPREME seems like a strange fit for the viewing, watch it again, and it makes sense. There’s a long history between the film and the streetwear brand. The film’s budget had no room for wardrobe, so the actors wore clothes they already owned. Most of those clothes happened to be SUPREME. Cast Members would hang out at the store in real life, which contributed to the film’s authentic portrayal of skate culture in NYC. The film and brand have been so deeply connected that they even released a 20th Anniversary capsule in 2015.

KIDS stars Supreme’s skaters Justin Pierce and Harold Hunter as well as Chloë Sevigny, Leo Fitzpatrick, Rosario Dawson, and Javier Nunez.

Now is the perfect time to catch up on ‘KIDS’, brought NYC skate culture to the eyes of young people from all over the world. Head over to supreme’s website and take a stroll down memory lane and relive the best times of your life while navigating the new normal.
