Crowning Kings | Burger King Takes A Unique Approach To Social Distancing

All around the country the COVID-19 restrictions are starting to ease. Now businesses must rethink how to reopen in a safe and responsible manner. Burger King in Germany is taking a unique approach to reopening, providing a unique take on their iconic cardboard crowns. Burger King throughout Germany is handing out massive paper crowns that aim to keep customers six feet apart from each other. The new initiative aims to add some humor to social distancing policies, with an effective nod.

A Burger King representative spoke with Business Insider about the new safety standards. They stated: “We wanted to re-enforce the rules of high safety and hygiene standards that the BK restaurants are following.” The rep went on to add, “The do-it-yourself social distance crown was a fun and playful way to remind our guests to practice social distancing while they are enjoying food in the restaurants.” The crowns are given out still folded, which means customers have to make them themselves.

Burger King has also revealed other campaigns including a “Social Distancing Whopper.” The burger comes with triple the amount of onions as the original, which is sure to keep everyone out of your way. Take a look at the massive crowns in the IG post below and head over to Burger King to find out more.
