After this year of peaks and valleys, an escape is certainly needed and necessary. The creative minds over at South African studio Mimo Architects have imagined a unique getaway that is sure to break you away from the new normal. Today we get a look at the Smiling Cabin. Simple, straightforward, and sleek; this cabin is anything but typical.
The Smiling Cabin is imagined on a small clearing in an imaginary forest. The structure is made of concrete, wood, and glass exterior, situated in the natural landscape while blending in with its surroundings. The cabin features a warm and welcoming interior that features expansive windows.
Guests are provided stunning views of the forest floor, while a smiling window above lets occupants gaze at the stars. The Smiling Cabin isn’t your typical cabin, but at this point, we don’t want a typical retreat. This unique design is certainly eye-catching and unique, a modern example of rustic luxury.
