It’s Thursday, the weekend is almost here, and there is plenty to do in #OurOcala. It’s the first full week of 2021, and it’s been an interesting one so far. With the weekend right around the corner, it’s time to unwind, kick back, and enjoy a few days of fun. Well, there is plenty going around town on this weekend to keep you entertained.
This Friday marks the first, First Friday Art Walk of 2021, which is a great place to check out all the best that the local art scene has to offer. The Marion Culture Alliance will also open their January exhibit at The Brick, “Nature’s Beauty,” which is worth checking out. There will also be some great selections to watch at the Marion Theatre throughout the weekend, as well as some great live music and other vibes around town.

January 1st Friday Art Walk
This is the first, First Friday art walk of 2021; why miss it? January 1st Friday Art Walk will include sixteen artist displays, free family art activities provided by local arts organizations, and more. Local shops will have extended shopping hours as well. January Exhibit at The Brick – “Nature’s Beauty”
Nature’s Beauty: Seeing and Feeling is a collective art exhibit featuring Dr. Jillian Ramsammy and Dr. Saul Reyes. Live Music by Caly Bryan At The Keep
The Keep is excited to present the beautiful and talented Caly Bryan! One half of the duo Caly and Megan, Caly will take over The Keep’s upstairs lounge on Friday from 8PM – 11 PM. DJ Karim live on the Rooftop at Pi!
It’s always a party on the rooftop at Pi, especially Friday. This week DJ Karim will take over the rooftop and will provide the vibes for the night. Is there a better place to be on Friday night other than the rooftop at Pi? That’s what they say; who are we to say differently? Karim kicks things off at 9 PM, and the vibe will continue until 1 AM. There are plenty of options when it comes to movies on Saturday. The Marion Theatre is starting the day off early with something for the whole family before ending the night on a more adult-friendly note.
