Back in June the word came down that BET was launching a streaming service of their own. Well, today the word comes down that BET+ will officially go live on September 19th. The service will have a monthly price of $9.99 USD and will feature over 1,000 hours of programming.
The platform will feature an ad-free approach and will include a wide range of programming. Joining the slate is Tyler Perry’s back catalog of work. The platform will also feature standup specials from Nick Cannon, Lil Rel and Sasheer Zamata, and upcoming shows like First Wives Club, Bigger and Sacrifice. Content from other Viacom-owned brands will be included as well. Those will be shows such as VH1’s Love & Hip Hop: Atlanta, Basketball Wives, T.I. & Tiny: The Family Hustle and more. Comedy Central’s Why? With Hannibal Buress, MTV’s Todrick, TV Land’s Soul Man and Nick at Night’s Instant Mom will also land on the service.
