Contactless seafood shipped directly from Pacific waters to our door within 24-48 hours? The logistics alone are impressive. When the delivery arrived, impressive took on a whole new meaning. There were no expectations of what we were getting, but Honolulu Fish Co. blew us away.
It is the only direct distributor in the United States that offers more than 14 species of sashimi-grade fish. With more than 20 years of experience, HFC is known for its exceptional high-quality products. The company is committed to the environment and promoting sustainability in its fishing practices.
At Honolulu Fish Company, each fish is chosen with great care by sashimi experts. Early mornings are spent at the Honolulu fish market, Hand-selecting and personally inspecting fresh hauls to ensure it meets company standards. HFC doesn’t buy from those that practice net fishing, as this destroys the natural habitat, and all fish are exclusively hook-caught. Fish that have not reached reproductive maturity yet aren’t allowed either.
The team at HFC selects packages and prepares its fresh seafood to arrive at homes and restaurant kitchens via FedEx and UPS within 24 to 48 hours. Its custom box is designed to keep fish at 40 degrees or less for 48 hours.
The Honolulu Fish Co. Sushi kit was a perfect reason to get the gang together and enjoy a cocktail, exceptional sushi, and great company. A few Googles and a Youtube University session were all we needed to get the idea going, and the Sashimi started.
