Life In The Middle Of Nowhere | The Holmsland Dune House

We find modern architecture captivating and inspirational. We’ve seen stunning structures across the globe and today we get a look at another. The remote dunes on the coast of Denmark aren’t exactly our first thought for modern architecture. However, this barren yet beautiful stretch of land is home to the  Holmsland Dune House. This beautiful modern structure is the brainchild of Studio Viktor Sørless. The home is a remote retreat with quite an intriguing design. The structure is a cross-formed dwelling that is elevated off the ground, cantilevering in the four cardinal directions; light being the fifth.

The changing angles of incoming rays along with the views of the landscape provide altered scenes through expansive glazing. The effect creates a cinematic experience throughout the interior, boasting inspiration from the Roman Polanski film The Ghostwriter. The home is quite intriguing, boasting excellent attention to detail while sitting in quite a compelling location.

Take a closer look at the Holmsland Dune House in the images below and head over to Studio Viktor Sørless to find out more about the structure immediately. In other modern architecture-related news, check out Casa Ry, a beautiful modern structure that reimagines the traditional farmhouse.
