Classic barns can be seen throughout the English countryside. Today we get a look at a barn that complements the Norfolk design language with a modern aesthetic. The Stealth Barn isn’t your typical design, though it does feature a traditional silhouette with a nod to modern design. The shadowy facade is part of a prefabricated timber frame which is clad in planks of ebony-stained rough sawn fencing.
This provides a unique, rustic look to the structure, opening to a minimal, modern interior. The layout is warm and welcoming, boasting floor-to-ceiling plywood lining. The dwelling features horizontal windows that are carefully placed to capture specific views of both the sky and the landscape. These views are afforded to guests, whether standing, lounging on the sofa, or lying down. This unique design feature brings the outdoors inside, providing an inviting place to kick back and enjoy the views. While it may not be your typical barn, it’s something even better.
