If you are anything like us, you’re all about a good drink. The end of Summer is right around the corner, and Labor Day is approaching. If you are looking for a great way to send off the Summer of 2020, we’ve got just the drink to do so. New Riff Distilling is looking to help you celebrate the end of Summer with something stunning. The Beast of Burden By New Riff Distilling is a unique take on the Kentucky Mule.
We’ve all heard of the Moscow Mule, but let’s look at the Kentucky Mule for those unfamiliar. Generally speaking, the Moscow Mule is made with lime juice, lime, vodka, and topped with ginger beer. The Kentucky Mule removes the vodka and adds bourbon.
The Beast of Burden takes the Kentucky version a step further, changing things up a bit more than one might imagine. The recipe calls for a generous helping of New Riff Bottled in Bond Kentucky Straight Bourbon. This is seamlessly situated with Angostura bitters, simple syrup, and lime juice.
The result is something sweet and spicy, sour, unique, and packed with flavor. This isn’t your average Mule, which is precisely why we like it. It’s not only easy to make; it’s even easier to drink, which is always appealing. So no matter what you’re doing for Labor Day weekend, the Beast of Burden is sure to end the Summer of 2020 on a high note.
