House ILL was created by INT2 and Dave Bowcutt, providing a seamless balance between modern comforts and ecological impact, creating something stunning, comfortable, and unique.
Dave Bowcutt, a digital artist, wanted to see if he could create a unique minimalist cabin in the woods. The structure is found hidden away in a forest outside of Riga, Latvia. The design emphasizes embracing nature in its layout and construction. The home features a sleek black roof and siding, which pairs flawlessly with the exposed natural wood details.
The open layout plan inside brings the beauty of nature inside, doing so with unrivaled views of the surrounding area. The simple, yet spacious interior provides a warm, welcoming vibe, while outstanding attention to detail is seen throughout. A simple deck out front allows visitors to get closer to nature, while the whole structure itself provides a perfect retreat from the hectic days of our modern lives.
