It seems like many of the modern structures we see have been inspired by the past. Today we get a look at another prime example, the House ILL. INT2 architects designed this eye-catching contemporary abode and Dave Bowcutt rendered it. The structure comes conceptualized as an off-grid cabin placed in the forest of Latvia. The dwelling is a simple, gabled structure that features black metal siding. The ends of the home boast reclaimed barn wood cladding which ties it to the landscape.
The barn wood also provides a warm contrast from the black facade. The sleek design opens to a modern yet minimal interior. Eye-catching attention to detail and brilliant use of space stands out, adding to the charm of the home. The home effortlessly invites the outside in. The patio areas offer a great excuse to enjoy the great outdoors, while an inviting and comfortable interior offers a great space to relax and unwind. House ILL is something special, it’s welcoming, modern, though charming like an old cabin.
