The Modern Life | The San Jose Pavilion

Situated across a hilltop in San Jose, Feld Architects have created something special. The San Jose Pavilion is a celebration of its California location. The dwelling was designed for outdoor living, offering sweeping views of the natural surroundings. The home takes advantage of its elevated site with a glass entry. Guests walk into the living space, where a steel-framed pavilion is draped in panels of glazing.

This feature blurs the boundaries between the interior and the exterior. A pair of stucco extensions flank the central space, offering a monolithic contrast. The single-story volume to the south features a master suite and two bedrooms. The northern unique boasts a two-story design with a subterranean garage, den, and loft above. The interior rooms open to patios, terraces, and gardens, taking full advantage of the Southern California climate. The home is an excellent homage to California living, doing so with a contemporary nod.

Take a look at the  San Jose Pavilion in the images below and learn more about the dwelling from Feldman Architecture immediately. In the meantime, keep it locked with The Culture Curators for more modern architecture coming very soon.
